My Parents....
Here is my parents Mrs. Leelamma
& Thomas Kuruvilla, Both being Teachers by profession..
A teacher at heart, my Father, Mr. Thomas Kuruvilla, keeps his leasure times for other interests, one being penning (poems,
stories, dramas..). Writing down the mind during the late nights and occassional vacations from the profession down
the years piled up bundles of creations, out of which a few are lucky to find its logical end - 'the printing Ink', under
the pen name 'T. K. Maridam', where 'T. K.' stands for 'Thomas Kuruvilla' and Maridam, a remote village in Kottayam district
where he was brought up. Hoping to see much more works seeing the light of the day in the future here is the
results, till date..

Dhukhitharudey Maalam:
'The Cave of Sad
People' -First published work of my father. Its a drama, written in the year 1973 and released then- with prefix written by
the famous late malayalam writter Veloor Krishnankutty- the story unravel the turbulations of a young college professor, Balan,
torn between two love interests tangled with the heavy responsiblities of a typical middle class life........

Arundhathi
The second creation, again a drama with a much
diffrent theme and outlook. The story revolves around Arundhathi, represnting the confused youth of today, poicturised well
on the backdrop of the typical beutiful tea gardens of high altitude Kerala. Several twists and turns takes you to the tragic
end of the story..

Aaltharayil Oru Sallapam:
..Means roughly 'A chitchat in the Treeshade', this
creation is a collction of small skits, aimed mainly at the young readers, with each story catapulting a message in to
the reader's mind. A critical look at the techno savvy world of today, which at times comfortably neglects the rules and compulsions
of nature and future. More of a 'wake-up call'..

Avinash Guptayudey Makal:
'The daughter of Avinash Gupta', a collection of short
stories, is the latest in the line. Few stories in the work holds the darker side of the typical north Indian urban life as
the background, thanks to my father's small stint as a teacher in Bihar in the late seventies. Read out to find more (released
by PEN Books)..
